I often hear from people that they experience a lot of tension and stress in their daily life. They tell me that they can worry for hours, have too many appointments, end up in fruitless discussions with their partner, and above all they want their life to change, but don't know how. They have tried so much and nothing seems to work.
They are trapped in their heads.
We have a whole body at our disposal and yet spend much of our time in our upstairs room. That is what we have learned. But because of this you are mainly focused on everything that is not going well.
If you restore the connection with yourself, learn to listen to the voice in yourself and descend into your body, there will be more peace in your life. You will feel more positive and energized. New opportunities and challenges will come your way and you will also attract people you feel comfortable with. You then know how to create your own life.
Step 1 in connecting with yourself is creating peace of mind. For this I have made the following energy exercise for you. This ensures that you:
* takes the time to stand still
* immediately get a clearer consciousness, you come back to the here and now
* feel what is happening to you in that situation
* makes it easier to choose to act differently
* you feel good in your body; you are grounded
* tension, heaviness and restlessness can leave your body
The energy exercise is short, but efficient! You will do this exercise as often as necessary in the coming period, so that you can really implement it in your system.
The energy exercise has many benefits. Every time you do the exercise, you connect with yourself for a moment. This way you can relax during stressful moments.
Are you in a stressful situation and do you only find out afterwards that you should have done the exercise? No problem! You can still do it AND you are now aware of this situation. That's step 1!
Write that situation down in your booklet so that you anchor it. This increases the chance that you will recognize the situation earlier the next time and that you can consciously make a different choice.
Your intentions and questions
Meditation is about an open mind and having no expectations; let them come and be what there is.
To let go of the 'must', but still create a clear focus and see your progress, you write
before starting a new meditation, an intention on.
You can see this as a wish for yourself, something you would like to change. You focus on 'the way there'. Keep your intentions simple, achievable and preferably measurable. With every meditation you will find questions to help you write a good intention for yourself.
The other 2 days you take a few minutes before your meditation to feel to yourself which question you would like to investigate in the meditation. Use your notebook for this. For example, the day before you may have noticed something during the meditation that you want to deepen the day after. Again, keep it simple and have no expectations.
Intent of this meditation
Before doing this meditation for the first time, answer these questions for yourself:
*When do you experience a lot of anxiety in your head?
* What makes you calm?
* What would help you get more rest every day?
Think of situations, times of the day, where you are or who this affects you. Write down everything you can think of. Often more will come naturally the longer you write.
Now choose the most important point for you and come up with a feasible small step. For instance:
👉 I plan (fill in) minutes every day to be able to meditate
👉 I take 5 minutes during (stress moment) to calm my head
👉 4 times a day I take a few minutes to feel where my energy is
Write down what is a feasible and pleasant step for you.
Day 2 and 3 of this meditation
Read back your experiences from the previous day. Do you see anything in this that you would like to investigate further today? Formulate a question for yourself that you will include in this meditation session.
Nothing specific comes up? It is also perfectly fine to enter the meditation openly.
Duration: 8 minutes
Prepare a pen and paper in advance, so that you can write down your experiences afterwards. You can read tips for this under the meditation.
